Travel time from Antipas Cotabato took about four hours. We left at 10:30, we expected a long travel so I had at least a little time sleeping at the shuttle but I wasnt able to. So, I did not waste my time experiencing the scenery of Mindanao. We passed by Kidapawan City, along the mountain ranges of Mt. Apo until we entered "Davao Del Sur" gate. so it is. The boundary of Cotabato Provice and Davao del Sur is somewhere within Mt. Apo. We stopped over in Digos City to eat Siopai. I was really having hard times smoking. 70 kilometers Davao City. That would still be a long travel but the main road going to the Davao City proper is coastal.
Until we reached Davao City at 3p.m. I began to feel the hustle-bustle of the Metro but still it was way better than Manila. Traffic was beginning to build up in Torril Davao. I started to get hungry. Our first sumptuous buffet lunch in Davao City was at Macey's Veranda in Davao City Proper.
mostly they have Filipino dishes and of course my favorite kilawin :)
After lunch at 3:30 p.m. we were given free time to roam around just within the vicinity of Aldevinco Shopping Center where we bought pasalubongs. It's just in front of Ateneo de Davao. After we shopped, we looked for smoking area but I failed, wherever you go, you would always see signboards saying No smoking.
Just about three hours, we're now bound for Wild Safari Grill but I didnt think that I would enjoy my dinner. The food I just ate had not been digested yet. so I ended up eating fried chicken, and mostly the unlimited desert they're offering. Wild Safari Grill is somewhat cheaper version of yakimix. I liked the unlimited frozers they offer where you could make your own dessert. Ice Cream, halo-halo and the like.
So here, I found a good smoking area, so I did not hesitate to.After the dinner we're now bound for Mergrande Ocean Resort where we will spend our overnight for tomorrow's Davao Tour. We headed back to Torril. Sad thing, we only had twenty minutes to swim in their pool. We did not waste time until the last minute.
APRIL 21, 2012 SATURDAY
I woke up early and I was already looking forward to going home tonight but still we had two more itineraries and I was making things fast. Finally, I had a chance to recharge my cellphone battery after two days.
We immediately had our breakfast at Jollibee Torril. I was really hungry that morning maybe because I did not eat too much last night. After breakfast came our first itinerary for the day. the Davao Eden Nature Park
Davao Eden Park is located about a thousand feet above sea level. an hour travel from the city proper.
We were given just an hour and ahalf to roam around the Park.
The Indiana Jones Ride. It's more fun in Davao! :)
I got really addicted to this ride. hahaha
After the tour, we had a light snack and drink at their restaurant. Yeah that was also a good seafood pancit meal! :) We headed back after our last lunch of the tour. another lunch buffet somewhere in Matina.
Our Itinerary ended at 12p.m. we all had our different flight schedules but my thirteen colleagues and I were the at the latest flight of Airphil Express. At 1p.m. we stayed at Notre Dame Dorm just two blocks near the Ateneo Grade School, we left our baggage there so had a chance to tour Davao City, buy Durian.I asked the security guard what's the way going to Abreeza and Magsaysay. I served as the tour guide as if I had been here many times. hahaha. Good thing that the Jeepney Drivers understand Tagalog,
AT MAGSAYSAY BLVD.
We bought Marang, Pomelo and some bought Durian.I hoped that we would not be charged for the overbaggage
infront of Marco Polo Hotel. A five-star hotel just beside the Aldevinco and in front of Ateneo de Davao.
Backgound is the Ateneo de Davao University
We went back to Notre Dame Dorm at 4p.m. But we didnt want to waste our time, it's our last day in Davao so why not go everywhere. We walked just to get to McDonald's Matina. It's just about two hundred meters from the Dorm. We ate fries and Mcfloat, what else can we choose. that's the only Mcdo meal I know. hahaha. Unfortunately, I was about to smoke when I saw that f**in sign again. NO SMOKING. Sigh
Going back to Dorm, Kresha hired a pedicab. Haha. She might have phobia in walking due to Pangipasan on our third day haha.
Just an hour after we eat in Mcdo, the early dinner was already served. That was satisfying for a 50.00 meal. Chiken Afritada, Corn Soup and Banana.
at 7p.m. we boarded the shuttle going to the Airport. It took us 45 minutes to get to the Airport. Suddenly, it rained hard. we hoped that our flight would not be cancelled.

COTABATO ADVENTURES
PICTURES TO UPLOAD SOON
Cotabato, when you hear of this province, what would be your perception? No wonder, you would answer "It's dangeroud". who would not forget the Maguindanao Masacre? and the Abu Sayaff, the most popular terrorist group in the country. But I swear, you wouldn't even think of these when you're already there.
Cotabato is the hometown of our mother institution Notre Dame University, every five years, it has been a tradition for the Notre Dame of Greater Manila administration to bring its employees to Cotabato and introduce and understand the roots of the Oblates of Missionary Immaculate. So fortunately, I was one of the blessed employees to participate in the tour.Obviously, Cotabato is one the provinces the Philippines can boast, but of course, minus the terrorism. :)
APRIL 17, 2012.DAY 1
It was my first PAL Flight and I was not disappointed, PAL's service as a whole and particularly the interior might be the best according to my experience. Ours was slightly delayed but it was fine. The interior was well dimmed, each row has an LCD screen that showed video presentation, demonstration and map. All seats had universal headset jock where you can listen to music. Other airlines that I had booked don't have these features. They also had free foods that include biscuit, peanuts, coffee and water. It took us an hour and a half to touchdown at Cotabato Airport. But a couple of minutes before we landed, some scenic views and landscapes of Cotabato had our attention but the Grand Mosque could be the best of all eye-catching features in the province. It's like a palace in Aladin. Awesome.
The Flag Carrier of the Philippines
Fiesta Class, feels like i'm on a Business Class already haha
Surprisingly, Mindanao province really's got a different ambiance than Manila and other Luzon province, coconut trees were really relatively tall, unfamiliar trees were abundant and later i found out that they were RUBBER trees. Aha! :)
One thing that I had noticed, breathing here was so refreshing and lung-cleaning hahaha so I did not waste my time breathing deeply as much as I could. I felt that all nicotine in my lungs had been removed drastically. hahaha. We transfered to Notre Dame University Shuttle and they brought us to a retreat house about 20 minutes away from the airport where we would be accomodated until the next morning.
Their foods were sooo delicious. Our first lunch includes ordinary chopseuy, fried chicken and rice but man, it's like an extraordinary dish! Clue? It's home made, no flavorings added and ingredients were literally fresh. After lunch, of course comes fruit desserts, abundant fruits! Sweet watermelon, mango, melon. We could choose from variety of fruits from Mindanao, even their fruits taste differently and way better that what we have in Luzon!
After our siesta, at 2:30 we started roaming around the compound of that retreat house. We were supposed to have our city tour but due to kidnapping that happened near the Grand Mosque, we diverted to other parts of the itinerary (this is something that was kept top secret to most of the participants -- to avoid panic of course) :( at 5p.m. we headed to our last itinerary for the day, the Notre Dame University. I never thought that NDU was a huge campus, it might not be as large as my alma mater UST, it could be around 10 hectares, pardon me, I;ve got no idea. Anyway, we toured around the campus and after a tiring tour came a sumptuous dinner that was prepared by the canteen staff of NDU. Yes you read it right, their canteen staff prepared a "sumptuous" dinner that includes crabs, shrimp, letchon and a lot more. This was probably better than any kind of food presentations at Yakimix, Dads or these fine dining experience -- no kidding) before we start our dinner, fresh buko juice from Lanao was served. Refreshing!!! that buko juice was the most refreshing and delicous buko juice I ever tasted in my life, it tasted like a Pandan, and the sweetness is natural. Afterwards, we had videoke and drinking session inside the campus, talked with other NDU Employees. We were really warm-welcomed and that feeling was great! :)
THE TRADITIONAL LIGHTING OF LANTERNS
After a long and tiring day, we headed back to the retreat house but we waited for 10 minutes before the caretaker opened the door. I was curious, it was just 9 p.m. and yet it was like 2 a.m. in Manila. That was scary. Forge about the revolver sounds just from a few hundred meters- and the stray bullets of course.:)
APRIL 18, 2012 DAY 2
We woke up early to prepare for the next destination, we had another heavy breakfast, delicous foods were being served again. at 7:30 we boarded the shuttle and headed to Midsayap, an hour and half away. at 9a.m. we reached Notre Dame of Midsayap, another snack was served. Even their simple Pancit tasted like special. I wonder how they cook their food here.
NOTRE DAME OF MIDSAYAP's FACADE
After two hours, we then boarded for Pikit-Aleosan mission where waiting for us is another set of snacks. another fresh buko juice, guava, banana cue and I did not hesitate to eat, drink. That was really refreshing!! I know a little later, my intestine is going to signal a full force peristalsis, if you know what I mean.
PIKIT NORTH COTABATO! Familiar with that place? This is where Midanao war of Late 90's and early 2000 took place. You got an idea how to feel? Hehe.
10:30 Aleosan Cotabato (Snack)
11:30 Pikit (Snack again)
at 12p.m. we are now Kidapawan Bound, Binoligan in particular and according to our itinerary, it would be another two hour scenic drive, a bit melodramatic should I say plus the sound of the light rain
at 2p.m. We had our LATE LUNCH at a retreat house in Binoligan, Kidapawan where Father Matas is waiting. we spent our second night here. Again, another mouth watering dishes were served, Letchon Cebu again, Adobong Manok, Tamarind Soup, and I ate of course, masama daw tinatanggihan ang grasya so here we go.
4p.m. Notre Dame Broadcasting Corporations. --
5p.m. Back to Retreat House for the mass, and some group sharing. It was really nice!
6p.m. Mass
7p.m. Dinner
8:00 Free Time, we even had no time going out. Although Kidapawan is a city, it looks like Manila of the 60s or 70s? I dont know, I am a milennial hahaha.
APRIL 19, 2012 DAY 3
Again we had to wake up early, Heavy meals again. at 8a.m we boarded the shuttle again and bounded for ANTIPAS, North Cotabato which is two hours away, Antipas is a remote city in North Cotabato located about a thousand meters above sea level. While we are on our way there, we stopped over a rural area due to (I dont know what problem it is) Instead of getting bored, we played Patintero and it was really fun! I had never played Patintero for how many years.
HAAHAHA ENJOY
we stayed here for thirty minutes before we continue our travel. at 11p.m. we reached an OMI house in Antipas, We left our belongings here, prepare a separate things to bring for overnight in Pangipasan. So I had a little backpack where I put my pillow, linen and overnight shirt and sando. From our shuttle, we transferred to a ten-wheeler truck with seater called "SADAM". Wow that was an amazing experience!
This is how we looked like. Hehehe cool right?
We then continued our first destination with SADAM, thirty minutes from Antipas is the OBLATES GALILEE FARM locates in Bugwak. A farm that produces dairy products such as dairy milk, calamansi juice. and the likes.
HAHAHAHA OH DIBA?

HAHAHAHA OH DIBA?
FATHER JUDE AND KRIS AT OBLATE GALILEE FARM
A natural fish pond
After an hour of roaming around the farm, we had a snack that includes fresh and sweet fruits, a macaroons that's naturally made and I admit, that's one of the best macaroons I've ever tasted, fresh buko and calamansi juice and the one that really caught my tastebud, that Dairy Choco, made from fresh milk and chocolate powder! that really flushed all the toxins inside my stomach. haha
We headed back to the OMI House for the lunch. God, thank You so much for the food. Another mouthwatering dishes were served. my favorite kilawin, fried chicken, chopseuy and another set of fresh fruits. Nevermind the Durian.
At 2p.m. we were about to prepare for an extremely rough yet scenic drive (through SADAM) to Pangipasan. a community school in Matalam, somewhere in the midst of the mountains.
me and Sir Jigs, our tour guide. haha
The back drop though, a typical ambience of the province. The first hour of travel was not that rough, we stopped over at a house in Imelda, Cotabato where we could see a glimpse of the Philippines' highest peak, Mt. Apo.
That's a breath taking view of Mt. Apo, below is Kidapawan City. We boarded again for another 45 minutes but extremely a rougher ride to our destination. Everyone were laughing and some were drinking beer until we reached an intersection where we had to turn left going down to Pangipasan. This is the climax! - The very rocky road! It lasted for about 20 mins until Sadam reached the most intricate part of the trek. Our truck tilted about 45 degrees,
we all screamed that hard - nervously...Fortunately nobody was hurt, so instead of continuing, everyone decided to go down and trek instead.
But the crisis was not yet over. We had to walk another three kilometer of rocky roads and trails just to get to the community school proper.
The trail was really steep that we had to keep our balance or else, we'd end up rolling in the deep. hahaha
finally we reached this site where tribes called "?" live. Most of them are studying at Pangipasan Community School. They also guided us to another two kilometer or more of trekking but this time, more scenic view surprised us but still, the trail was really hard that we had to remove our slippers. We should have brought rubber shoes here.
While on our way to Pangipasan, we met these three kids who were happily riding on a carabao. My grandma told me that they do it when they were kids.
Kresha was having trouble going down. So Gori and me to the rescue :) seriously, we had to stop over several times to get some rest. The disadvantage of being Manilenos. Until we reached this stream, we stayed here for almost an hour to take a dip to refresh our sexy bodies. charaught. haha.
okay here it is..
Ma'am Pal our HR managers and Sir Jhigs. the water here was really ice cold. so refreshing!
Our destination was just about a hundred meter so we stayed here long until we're all satisfied. We decided to continue walking until we reached Pangipasan.
We settled down for an hour before our supposed storytelling activity with the pupils and sharing with the faculty members of the community school. The storytelling was fun while others were drinking Tuba. :)
T-U-B-A
After the storytelling, we had an experience-sharing for an hour, lights off and we could see the clear night sky with millions of twinkling stars. that was really amazing. Imagine Manila a hundred years ago, free from light pollution.
The electricity in Pangipasan is limited so the power generator was only activated at 6-7p.m. so afterwards, we expected the the lights would be turned of and we had to sleep with lights off and no fan but since it was cool at night, it was enough to let us sleep comfortably. We woke up at 7a.m. for the early boarding back to Antipas.
APRIL 20, 2012 FRIDAY
Befor we had our breakfast, we discovered a little falls down where my colleagues took a dip, just opposite side of where stream was found
We were advised that instead of trekking the yesterday's trail, we headed the alternative way but we didnt expect that this was a sort of harder way because we had to trek through another steepy yet more scenery trail
We didnt expect that we had to climb up to that hill seriously. :[
The peak of that hill as seen from below (first photo) and the peak itself (second photo)
The highest peak of the trail over looking Lanao Del Sur. This is where we waited for SADAM.
In a span of thirty minutes, Ms. Liza, our Audio visual librarian took several clips and interviewed us regarding the experience that we had in Pangipasan. Elaine, Ms. Beth, Gori, Ms. Zeny and Conie were the ones interviewed, and of course, we were the ones laughing at the background
And when the truck arrived, we all placed ourselves at our own risks haha. another rocky road! the truck was almost tilting at 45 degrees so we held on as tight as we could.
And when we reached the main road, we all took a deep breath. hahha. Define EXPERIENCE!hahaha
Our travel back to Antipas took about an hour and a half.
At 10:00 we arrived at Antipas where we transferred to our shuttle again. We did not have enough time to take a bath due to time constraints. Everybody there was asking how our experience was.
Immediately, we boarded again and we headed for DAVAO CITY!!! :)) ..... Go to next Blog Entry DAVAO CITY TOUR! :)

Traveling Boracay via 2go Ferry
"I will always go back to Boracay"
This is probably one of the most popular shirts sold in Boracay. It was my second time and I still have plans to go back to this white sand beach as many as I could. but this time, I tried traveling via 2go ferry (formerly Superferry). last February, I had really no plans of going back this summer since I have already booked a supposed Puerto Galera trip (Metrodeal) on April 21-23 but suddenly, our mission trip in Cotabato and Davao City pushed through on April 17-21 of evening. Since, It was hardly possible for me to join my officemates in Galera, I sold it to another officemate. So, that meant to say that my summer trip would be zero. Fortunately, I accidentally found a 2go advertisement that promotes "Batangas to Caticlan, experience starts at 460*" and I had to admit, I am not a choosy when it comes to traveling, I could travel by any means. So, I realized that was a great deal. I booked a ticket and encouraged my high school classmates. I chose May 3 to 6 when my boss' friend also booked ticket for her daughter's graduation. My boss also told me to just sleep at their hotel room so I wouldnt have to pay the accomodation! DEAL! :)
MAY 3, 2012 (THURSDAY-DAY 01)
3p.m. We departed from Cubao Terminal Alps, travel time was almost two hours.
ROSELUN, WIWIT, JOM and ME
We arrived at Batangas Port at 5p.m. Since 2go's departure would be at 8p.m. Check-in was smooth and fast so we had to wait 1 hour and a half. Boarding time was at 7p.m. At least we had the time allowance
When the ship departed, a loud party sound started at the top floor and yeah we discovered a party place. We never thought that we were travelling, we just killed time together with other passengers. "cute" foreign passengers wearing "BORACAY is the place 2GO" I was just curious who they are"they were mostly koreans
Anyway, We ordered a glass of rhum cola as our sleeping pills alteernative and relaxed in a way of listening to dance music. It's my way of relaxing hahaha. :) fortunately, two beds were availble for us to relax and sleep.
JOM, DENISE AND ROSELYN
but we decided to go downstairs at tourist section to sleep. It was already 11p.m. and we had been traveling three hours,
2GO's lobby / information desk
I honestly did not have a good sleep not because of the accomodation. I woke up at 4:15 a.m. and we were supposed to arrive Caticlan at 5 a.m. I went up to the disco, the sound was already toned down and I saw that we were already approaching Boracay (I assumed because of lights from a distance)
BORACAY ISLAND at DAWN
MAY 4, 2012 (FRIDAY, DAY 02)
6:00 a.m.
We have already docked at Caticlan Port, but the offloading was a bit delayed. But I was really surprised that all fees have increased at almost 100% We had to pay 100.oo for the terminal fee, twice expensive than last September. Boat fee also increased from 20.00 to 30.00, and the environmental fee remained at 75.00
My GIRLS, Jom, Wiwit, Roselyn and Denise
AND HELLO BORACAY, It's more beautiful the second time around! This time with my high school classmates but I wasnt able to meet with my officemates due to time constraints and classmates were really starving so we had to go to D'Mall for a heavy brunch. But before that, we checked in at Villa Romero located 30 meters from the beach front of Boat Station 3, near Sands Hotel. I asked the receptionist that our two classmates have already check in, so she brought us to our room and Sherylou and Rhina were still sleeping. :) We just fixed our belongings first immediately, and fastly, looked for a restaurant for a breakfast. We ended up ordering PM2 in Mang Inasal. Imagine, our last meal was rice meal from 7-11 Batangas Port, the worst food I ever ate, that sisig with plenty of preservatives or should I say the other way around, Basta I I swear I'll never eat that anymore!!
THE WHITE SAND and THE TURQUOISE WATERS OF BORACAY
I had never seen Boracay this beautiful before, last September, I wasn't able to capture the real torquoise color of Boracay due to the weather that time, it was cloudy so that the turquoise color of the sea did not reflect.
SOMEWHERE IN FRONT OF D'MALL
After our brunch, we roamed around from D'Mall back to our hotel. We took rest and a nap for 2 hours. At 3 p.m., we changed outfit to swimwear and walked from Station 3 to 1, I told my classmates to prepare for a long walk. Station 1 (Willy's Rock" from our hotel is about 2.5kms)
TEMPTATION ISLAND GIRLS
READY TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL
After almost 30 minutes of walking, we reached Station 1 and stopped over in an area near Yellow Cab, We bought fruitshake, smoked and rested for another 30 minutes before we continue our procession hahaha.
AND THE WINNER IS.............
JUMPSHOT! It's more fun in Boracay!
It took us another 10 minutes to reach Willy's Rock and I told my classmates that I did not fail to inform them about this trekking hahaha. so walking from Station 3 to 1 would take us for almost 40 minutes to 1 hours to complete.
THIS PART OF WILLY's ROCK DID NOT ESCAPE FROM SLIMY SEAWEEDS
Locals told us that those seaweeds make Boracay Sand whiter. Mmmmkay! but still, tit was a sort of annoying
tell roselyn who's the sexiest of them all. hahahaha
We spent a lot of time here. It was the only part of the beach that's best for swimming, aside from shallow waters, there were no annoying seaweeds here. We played volleyball.
When the sun was about an hour to set, we decided to go back to station 3 but before that we tried their "Chori" Burger, I havent tasted this before, even my first time last September, I was not familiar. so we tried and it was delicious. You can find a lot of BBQ Stalls along the beach and I suggest that one behind Obama Bar, I forgot to ask the name of that ate but she was really adorable and entertaining. perhaps, it has been her only job for a long time, she knows how to capture her customers' taste.
And the sun was about to set, so we brisk-walked until we reached station 2, near La Carmela, where we decided to stay and watch the sunset, fortunately, there were locals playing beach volleyball, so I joined them. feels good to have experienced my dream sunset. I was playing volleyball while others were observing how sun sets to the horizon of Boracay.
My camera battery's ran low, Thanks roselyn and sherylou for the reserved cameras. This was really breathtaking, I will surely bring my family here in the near future.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL, IT's MORE FUN in BORACAY
And so when it was getting dark, I thanked my team mates for letting me play. We went back to our hotel, took a bath, rest and changed outfit for the nighlife. But before that, we waited for our two friends to arrive. We expected Idolle and Eugene to arrive before we had our dinner.
And so it is, they arrived with a formal dress as if they were going to Republiq hahaha, I picked them up somwhere along the street leading to our hotel. We let them changed their outfit first before we went to our dinner.
we ate our first dinner (second dinner for Sherylou and Rhina) at Andok's near Station 3. I ordered Dokito, as usual, but this time, the chicken was newly fried and crispy. This is my way of budgeting our trip.
I was not yet hungry that time, I felt like our brunch at Mang Inasal had not yet been digested that time.
And now we're heading to Boracay's highlight, the main reason why I always go back--. NIGHTLIFE. Who would not want to watch Firedancing by the beach? Where would you see nightlife by the beach other than Boracay's? So we had to go back to Station 1 again, we chose to walk than to hire a tricycle so that the two gays would experience walking here. We stopped over at Mang Inasal D'mall to meet Eugene's aura. Hahahaha. and just some steps from it was Epic Bar where a lot of TV stars were partying. Alju, Daniel matsunaga, Derik Ramsay, JC Tiuseco were also there. I had been to Epic once but during happy hour where we did not have to pay the entrance fee but the this time, there was entrance fee but still at reasonable price. 300.00 to cover up two cocktail drinks. but instead, I referred Guilly's Island/Club paraw. And then, I would prefer the set up of Guilly's Island, I also dreamed of having a drinking session on their table, banig and throw pillows, I though Club Paraw also had this but their set up was just a plastic chair and table.
So we ordered Kamikazee, three pitchers that cost 1,100.00 but I thought we would also have another order of it. hahaha but it was enought to screw us. hahaha
After our session, We all wanted to go back to hotel to sleep but we had to AGAIN, walk and walk and walk. I lost my pair of Havaianas (which i really loved for two years) and my Blue Rayband Eyeglasses. How saad!....

MAY 5, 2012 SATURDAY (DAY 03)
at 7:30, we woke up early and Eugene had already arrived from an overnight stay with his aura. hahaha we did not have a sumptuous breakfast this time, we just ate our baon, tasty bread and peanut butter c/o Jomarie, Great taste white coffee sponsored by Roselyn and then without hesitation, we headed to the beach for the morning jog (supposedly) but it turned out to be a beach volleyball. we didnt get too far from our hotel, we just played at station 3 where Frisbee competition was held That was really exhausting and sweating but that was a good one. We went back to resort after an hour. We charged our cellphones and cameras for the island hopping and other beach activities a little later. at 11a.m. we had our early lunch at a carinderia at the back of Villa Romero. We had a satisfying lunch at the cost of 35.00 including rice. After our lunch, we headed to Boat Station 3 for the Island Hopping.
OFF TO ISLAND HOPPING
I might say that this island hopping was a disappointing one. We were told that we might go to Crystal Cove Island but we wouldnt be able to use the facilities, we could just have pictures at the entrance but if we want to use their facilties and have a comprehensive tour in the island, we'd have to pay the entrance fee of 200.00. We just told them to just take pictures in the island. Our first activity was Snorkeling, Sherry and Rhina rented snoreking gears for 100.00 each. I decided not to rent for I knew that corals in the area were not as beautiful as what I've seen in Coron, so I guess that wouldnt be a good deal so I didn't mind about it.
While Sherry and Rhina were snorkeling, others just had a dip beside the boat while holding the outriggers. a couple of minutes after, we boarded the boat again and asked the boatman where our next destination was, I was a bit confused because we're heading to Puka Beach already (I know the island and directions very well) He answered that we might not be able to enter because it's a private resort. Oh! that was really annoying! next i asked them where the crocodile island is and then they pointed to a small rocky island about several hundred meters far and that's it! I thought it was a beach where we could swim, have a snorkeling or roam around, we just passed by while the boat was still moving. DISAPPOINTED. so I just sit and relaxed. It was another twenty minute and the boat was slowly moving, at the right we could see the Carabao island which is a part of Romblon province and at the left is the Bulabog Beach, the peaceful other side of Boracay island.
MT. LUHO, BULABOG BEACH
Picture above is the Mt. Luho, that's still a part of Boracay Island, it's the other side of the crowded White beach and embedded is a Santorini-inspired hotel resorts, probably that was one of the luxury resorts in the part of bulabog beach.
The boat was slowly moving yet it was a scenic ride. I never seen the other side of Boracay during my first visit. We went to Puka Beach and Mt. Luho by tricycle before but now by boat.
NEARING PUKA-SHELL BEACH
Our boat did not dock on the part of Puka Beach where we had been last September instead, it landed on the western end of the beach but i never expected that Puka Beach is also a long beach. This area of Puka Beach is more beautiful and pristine than the other side. We stayed here for less than an hour but we were satisfied already, the towering limestone cliffs similar from Coron were also present but not that impressive.
This limestone cliff is embedded to a hill.
P-U-K-A!!!!
TEMPTATION ISLAND
The sand here in Puka beach is not as fine as in white beach (please read my previous post Boracay 2011) The sand here are puka shells.
We boarded the boat again back to the White Beach but I told the boatmen to drop us at Boat Station 1 for the Banana Boat activity while Jom, Denise and wiwit at Station 3.
My background is the Shangri-la Boracay, where sherylou stayed last August, sushalera!n This is one of the most expensive resorts in the country. Accomodation ranges from 16,000 - 33,000 per night. taray diba!
MAP OF BORACAY showing our island tour destinations.
Finally, the said "Island hopping" has ended, I don't call it island hopping because at the first place we did not hop from island to island, we just stayed at one island. I don't know what kind of marketing they do to tourists like us but that was really wrong so I suggest to other that ask and confirm everything before you deal, they also ask you for hidden charges like snorkeling fee on board. NKKLK!
The boatmen dropped us at Station 1, we looked for some refreshing fruitshakes, I suggested Jonah's but it's far from the boat station so we ended up staying at MINT, somewhere near the boat station. Afterwards, we decided to go Banana Boating but this time, we have three others who joined in the boat but actually I didn't prefer it, we might want to request an extremer banana boat ride but we were not able to because they were kids.
Banana Boat, our background is the controversial Santorini-inspired "West Cove Resort" familiar? It's arguably owned by Manny Pacquiao.
I was not satisfied in this activity but it was at least fun, I wanted an extremer banana boat ride. I wanted to try flyfish but I was in the tight budget already so we decided to roam around, stay at station 1 near Willy's Rock where we stayed for several hours a day before and waited for the sunset again. We played Volleyball with the three Jedda-based Americans who we perceived, were attracted to Sherylou. hahaha
The crowded White Beach, it's during the late afternoon so expect, Filipinos were the ones who made it. haha. I don't have to explain it! The second afternoon, sunset failed to show, it set not on the horizons but on the thick clouds. At least, I saw the sunset the first afternoon!
So we went back to the hotel to take a bath again, we took rest and had dinner again. This night, everyone seemed so tired, they didnt want to nighlife. Who would come with me? I was so tired but of course, that's what I was after all. Nightlife. I was about to sleep when Eugene came back to Hotel and asked me to walk along the beach with him but it turned out to be a nightlife. FORTUNATELY! I asked him to go to Guillys for a bottle of beer! Magic 89.9 was hosting an event in Guilly's Island,
We headed back to resort at 1 a.m. I had to at least take a nap for the early trip tomorrow. Sherylou, Rhina, Roselyn and had to wake up at 4 a.m. for an early flight the next day. Jom, Denise, Wiwiwt, Eugene and Idolle left at the hotel and extended their stay until the afternoon.

--THE END---
This is probably one of the most popular shirts sold in Boracay.
